Sophie Carroll, Court 3

Sophie Carroll's photography is a complex combination of geometry, color, pattern, and repetition. This photograph has been exhibited at Turner Carroll Gallery and elsewhere internationally. The yellow sphere allows the eye to rest, as the white strip zooms diagonally as it divides the symbolically opposite colors of red and green. Carroll brilliantly combines red, yellow, and green, as if taking us on a visual journey of movement, progression, and velocity, as we'd see with the use of color in a stop light. Carroll holds a degree in Semiotics, and her mastery of visual content and its symbolism is fundamental to her artistic style.
