Vintage Sterling Vermeil Clown with Tear (Pierrot) Brooch, 1980's. Sterling Vermeil with smooth and shiny and a matte satin finish. It is appx. 2.25" tall and 1.75" wide at the widest point. There is some finish wear on the gold mostly on the collar. This is marked .925 on the pin of the pinback itself. It tests as sterling. It is a gold over sterling. I did not think this would test as sterling based on weight and look - but it did. It is also marked. with a star 150 VI. It does have a slight magnetic reaction which can be the plating or the allow in the silver. Weight is appx. 8.50 grams. The back is very shiny and clean. It is unknown if this is true sterling or a silver vermeil plating. Very good condition other than the light weight. (NY3.5 SS16663 J LD 9/12/25).
