Title:Vintage Men's 10kt Ruby Intaglio Ring, Sz. 13.5, 1950's, SignedDescription:Vintage Men's 10kt Ruby Intaglio Ring, Sz. 13.5, 1950's, Signed what looks like REF - hard to read the bottom of the second and thid letters. This ring has a lab created ruby with a Roman like soldier carved 15.5mm by 12mm rectangular. The top of the ring is appx. 17.5mm down the finger and cover the top of the finger left-to-right with an appx. width of the upper band at 13mm which tapers to appx. 2.5mm at the back of the finger. the stone does have a little movement, does not seem to be at risk of dropping out but having a jeweler look at it would be recommended. It is marked 10kt and test as 10kt with an appx. weiht of 8.95 grams - that includes the ruby. The ruby is believed to be lab grown, not natural. A lab grown ruby is not glass but is a crystal, grown in a lab under ideal condition with the same properties as a natural ruby. Those grown crystals are then cut into the gemstones use din jewelry the same as natural stones. The stone and ring are in good conditon - just typical wear you would see on a 75 year old ring.
