Title: Oil painting The Lonely Fisherman Oksana Kalenyuk Description: NoAAA4499The painting "The Lonely Fisherman" captures a quiet, introspective moment in nature, where solitude and serenity merge in a delicate interplay of color, light, and texture. This oil painting on cardboard, created with expressive impasto brushstrokes, conveys an atmosphere of peaceful isolation, inviting the viewer into a world where time seems to slow down, and all that matters is the steady rhythm of water and the anticipation of a catch. A lone fisherman stands at the edge of an aged wooden pier, extending his fishing rod toward the still waters below. He is dressed in a bright blue coat, which contrasts sharply with the warm golden and earthy tones of the surrounding landscape. This vibrant pop of color makes him the focal point of the composition, drawing attention to his quiet concentration. His stance is relaxed yet purposeful, as he stands with one foot slightly ahead, suggesting patience and persistence in his craft. The wooden pier, depicted with thick, layered strokes of brown, beige, and ochre, extends diagonally into the painting, leading the viewer's gaze toward the fisherman and the water. The pier appears weathered and slightly uneven, its wooden planks haphazardly nailed together, emphasizing the rustic and timeless nature of the scene. The supporting posts of the pier, partially submerged in the water, create subtle reflections, adding depth to the composition. The water itself is painted in a mix of deep greens, browns, and hints of gold, mirroring the colors of the trees and sky above. The surface is calm, with only a few ripples suggesting movement, possibly caused by a light breeze or the gentle tug of the fishing line. The reflections on the water add a dreamlike quality, making the scene feel immersive and tranquil. In the background, a dense forest lines the far shore, its trees reaching toward the sky in fiery shades of red, orange, and deep green. The artist's use of bold strokes and thick application of paint gives the foliage a rich texture, making the trees appear almost ablaze with the colors of autumn or the golden light of late afternoon. The contrast between the warm, sunlit land and the cool, shadowy water creates a dynamic balance within the composition.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: "The Lonely Fisherman"* ARTISTS: Oksana Kalenyuk* SIZE: 15x20 cm/'5.90x7.87 inches'* MEDIUM: oil, cardboard* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: Photos provide accurate information about the product.About the artists: Kalenyuk Oksana was born in 1964 in Rivne region.
