Untitled, watercolor, ink, and pencil on paper, 26 × 20 cm, signed and dated 1986. Framed.Michael Druks (1940–2022). In the 1960s Druks was active in the “Ten Plus” (10+) group. His early works from the mid-1960s were influenced by Pop Art and ready-made strategies. In the early 1970s he presented conceptually oriented works, many of which addressed Israeli identity. An iconic work in his career is “Druksland” (1975), which examines the blending of political borders on a map with a self-image. A retrospective exhibition of his work was held at the Mishkan Museum of Art, Ein Harod, in 2007.
