Vintage Sterling Amethyst Floral Necklace, Signed Fratelli Peruzzi, Italy. 16.5", 1940's-1950's. There are nine oval bezel-set amethysts that are appx 12.5mm by 9mm with a double rope accent around the beze. Between ech amethys there is a repousse floral link - eight total links with a raised center bud and petals and leaves creating the tiers to the link. It is 16.5" with a spring clasp and a jump ring mounted on the end of the last amethyst link It is signed F.lli Peruzzi Sterling. Peruzzi is an Italian company since 1860 and still operating today in Italy with pieces sold throughout the world. This is an older piece 1950's or earlier. In appx 1910, Peruzzi started shipping pieces on the U.S.. This is in very good condition ot her than the typical oxidation that many silver buyers prefer over the bright and shiny look. I therefore do not polish pieces. The metal has been tested and tests as silver at a weight of appx. 36.70 gr. Each link is connected to the next by a a single ring. When you remove the necklace - it is best to hang it or keep it flat ans the one link can flip back against the other. It is easy to unflip but you do have to be gentle in doing it so you do not bend The rings or where they connect. The floral links are appx 3/4" tall and the amethyst are slightly over 1/2".
