Mikhail Nikolaevich Romanishin was born on August 16, 1933 in the village of Veliky Berezny, Transcarpathian region.
In 1953 he graduated from the Uzhgorod College of Applied Arts, where he studied with A. Erdeli, J. Bokshay, F. Manailo, and in 1960 - the Kiev Art Institute, where he studied with K.D. Trokhimenko, G. Melikhova ..
After graduation, he lived and worked in Kiev.
Member of art exhibitions since 1960.
Since 1965, Romanishin M.N. - Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Works: "Lumberjack" (1963), "Source" (1970-1971), "Les the pores of the first songs" (1971), "Celebratory Kiev" (1976), "Monthly Night. Kiev" (1980), "On the Kosovoshch" (1980-1981), "Song about the Homeland" (1980-1982), "Portrait of D. Pavlychko" (1985), "Mother" (1989), a series of "The Seasons" (1993), "To the Temple" (1994 ), Easter, Bathers (both - 1995).
Honored Artist of Ukraine since 1976.
The artist represented Ukrainian art in the international arena. His paintings took part in art exhibitions held in Leipzig, Krakow, Kyoto, Florence, Paris.
In 1991, Mikhail Nikolayevich Romanishin was awarded the title "People's Artist of Ukraine".
He served as director of the State Museum of Ukrainian Fine Arts.
He died on October 12, 1999.
The artist’s works are presented in museums, galleries and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
