Title: Oil painting Central city street Oleksandr Gukalov Description: No.AAA5545The Oil painting on Canvas titled “Central city street” captures a vivid and nostalgic portrayal of urban life, where architecture, movement, and atmosphere merge into a harmonious composition. The scene unfolds on a broad, cobblestone street, whose textured surface dominates the foreground with its geometric rhythm and reflective sheen. The wet stones, painted in shades of steel blue and earthy brown, glisten under the soft daylight, creating a sense of recent rain and adding a dramatic, almost cinematic depth to the image. The receding tram tracks cut diagonally into the painting, guiding the viewer’s gaze into the heart of the city and establishing a strong sense of perspective that pulls one inward, almost as if walking down the street themselves. On the left, a bright red-and-yellow tram, marked with the number 3, advances toward the viewer, serving as both a focal point and a symbol of continuity in city life. Its vibrant colors stand in stark contrast against the muted tones of the street and buildings, embodying the energy and dynamism of public transportation. Behind the tram, a row of cars parked along the curb suggests modernity, yet their arrangement and subdued palette blend seamlessly with the urban landscape. The presence of vehicles alongside the tram conveys the coexistence of tradition and progress, reflecting how the city adapts while retaining its familiar rhythms. The architecture on either side enriches the narrative of the painting. To the right, a long, strikingly red building with a steep roof commands attention, its bold color contrasting dramatically with the coolness of the street. The red façade, with its darkened windows and weathered patches, stands as a testimony to time—perhaps a repurposed industrial structure or a historical warehouse integrated into modern urban life. Walking along its base are figures dressed in winter attire, their shadows and gestures subtly rendered, reminding us of the human stories embedded within the city. These small silhouettes inject warmth and relatability, anchoring the grandeur of the architecture with the intimacy of daily existence.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: "Central city street"* ARTIST: Oleksandr Gukalov* SIZE: 60x80 cm/23.62x31.49 inches'* MEDIUM: oil, canvas* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this product About the artists: Alexander GukalovAfter graduating from Lviv Polytechnic, he was engaged in scientific work.
