Title: Oil painting Chickens in a village yard Oksana Ivanyuk Description: No.AAA5868The Oil painting Canvas titled "Chickens in a village yard" immerses the viewer in the rustic beauty and warmth of rural life, where nature, animals, and traditional architecture coexist in harmony. Executed with vigorous brushstrokes and expressive use of color, the painting embodies the simplicity and authenticity of a countryside scene. At its heart, the work captures the essence of domestic tranquility, focusing on the lively presence of chickens that animate the yard and add a pulse of movement and character to the pastoral setting. The composition draws the eye immediately to the cluster of chickens in the foreground, their feathers painted with striking contrasts of white, black, and red. The vivid crimson of the rooster’s comb and the warm shades of brown and orange on the hens provide a dynamic accent against the lush greens and earthy tones of the surrounding grass and soil. Their natural poses—pecking, foraging, or standing alert—convey a sense of liveliness and rhythm, reminding the viewer of the humble routines of rural existence. These creatures, though small in scale, become symbolic of the daily sustenance and continuity of village life. Dominating the center of the composition is a sturdy tree with thick, textured leaves, its trunk rooted firmly in the ground and branches spreading wide, offering both shade and a sense of protection to the yard below. The artist uses deep greens, dark browns, and energetic strokes to render the foliage, creating a sense of vitality and permanence. The tree stands not only as a physical element but also as a metaphor for shelter and constancy, a witness to the cycles of life taking place beneath its canopy. Behind this foreground activity, the thatched-roof houses extend across the canvas, their walls painted in pale whites and muted lavenders, offset by the earthy browns and ochres of the roofs. One of the roofs, in a rich red hue, becomes a striking visual counterpoint to the greenery of the yard and the deep tones of the tree. These structures evoke a sense of tradition, their weathered exteriors and modest size suggesting generations of habitation and care. The presence of a figure near the doorway, though indistinct, adds a further layer of human presence, grounding the composition in lived reality.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: "Chickens in a village yard"* ARTIST: Oksana Ivanyuk* SIZE: 15x20 cm/5.90x7.87 inches'* MEDIUM: oil, canvas* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this product About the artist: Ivanyuk Oksana was born in 1964 in Rivne region.
