C.950-1050 AD. Just under 1/2" (0.49") height of cusped heart form and low rounded section with a nub at the bottom. The Viking heart in its purest form! Surface has worn from wear (1000 years ago!) and burial. For Vikings, the heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, and attributes of the warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored on a modern 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear.
