Description

Cambridgeshire, England, C.866-1067 AD, where the Vikings first invaded and conquered the Anglo-Saxon natives. Size 8 3/4 with bold rope twist motif to the top half. 1.6mm rounded band slightly flaring from the bottom. The spiral or helix was a favorite Viking form. Excellent preservation for a burial item with some war from its time of use. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. See the reference image which shows the process.
