Slightly domed and line-bordered with eight radial groups of three crescents, a reference to the moon worshiped as Mani, and instrumental in navigating. The surface with light texture from burial. Professionally conserved and the silver surface restored. On a modern Sterling silver neck chain, gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Worn in numbers on the surface of the jerkin, these small metal brooches provided a measure of protection against sword cuts and, in fact, were a form of armor.
