Description

Gilt bronze, size 4 3/4 for the small finger as was the custom. Broad flat face, 3.3mm width. Recessed flat face with a central stipple band. Some wear and surface texture from use 1000 years ago, with the 24karat gold surface restored for modern wear. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom's sword. See the reference image which shows the process. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
