Space Shuttle Avionics Cold Plate Section

Description

This is a 4" x 4" section of Space Shuttle Avionics Cold Plate. This liquid cooling system was used to dissipate the heat emitted from all the electronics used in the space shuttle. This cooling system prevented the production of excessive heat in the confined crew cabin areas. This section of Avionics Cold Plate was claimed to have been flown on one of the shuttle obiters but no supporting documentation is available. Item is in excellent condition.
