A small Austrian portrait vase (about 4.5 inches tall). Highly sought after by collectors. This type of porcelain originated primarily from about 1837-1901, some even up to the 1920s. During that time period Austria was a major porcelain producer. These were commonly made with pictures of women, often women of stature of the time. As I use my imagination to try to read into them, since many of them were real people, I see a measure of fear, or at least concern, in the little girl. Mom is a little harder to read. Maybe a time of political upheaval or something? So many wonderful people have come and gone. Not too sure how old this is because of the stamp on the bottom. I have set this listing for worldwide consideration. Maybe someone who knows will let me know. If they do, I will put the information in this listing.
