Series 1957 A (Friedberg 1620) bears the signatures of Treasurer Elizabeth Rudel Smith and Secretary C. Douglas Dillon. The 1957 series is a key dated issue as it represents the first small-size currency to incorporate the motto In God We Trust on the reverse.
