The lot includes a Philadelphia Mint Edition (P mint mark), a Denver Mint Edition (D mint mark), a Gold Edition layered in 24k gold, and a Platinum Edition layered in pure platinum. Each set contains the following quarter-dollar coins: New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Kentucky. Obverse features the Washington design type. Reverses feature state-specific design types. All coins are dated 2001. This year represents the third year of the 50 State Quarters Program.
