
KM# 192a. Designer: Felix Schlag. This trio of Jefferson type coins includes 1942-P, 1943-P, and 1943-D issues. Each coin features a large mint mark located above the dome of Monticello on the reverse, which was used to identify the 35% silver composition during the wartime years. These coins were produced as part of a temporary alloy change to conserve nickel for military use during World War II.
