About the artist: Painter and graphic artist, landscape painter. He lived and worked in Odessa. In 1900, X. Kostandi allocated 100 paintings that were exhibited to the general public for the "in favor of asylum for print workers" lottery. The only collective exhibition in which the participation of Kh.D. Kostandi - "2nd Spring Exhibition" of 1897 in Odessa, organized by local artists S. Kishinevsky, Y. Brodsky and I. Paolini. He painted mainly marinas and forest landscapes, outwardly very spectacular and in demand among the general public.
