Victorian Eagle Banner Brooch, C-Clasp, 2.75" wide and 1.25 tall. This is a white puffy enameled type background with a gold eagle outline - likely a transferred piece by decal. The shape of the brass framed and copper backed brooch is much like a sign or a mander with rounded edges. C-Clasp on back. It is signed WHITEHEAD HOAG CO. Similar brooches in this design with different images - hand shaking, etc., for various Fraternal Orders were made by this company. It does have one hook on the back edge but does not have one on the other side. Good to very good Victorian condition (INV> W101020.8 SS3456 J LD 1/19/21).
