Description:This is an outstanding map of northern Germany, north of Halle and Goettigen, to Denmark. The map shows dozens of fortified cities including Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg, Osnabruck, Minden, Magdeburg, etc. Additional details include topography, rivers, lakes, sandbars, forests, hundreds of towns and villages, etc. The large title cartouche features a female archer and a river god and a second cartouche encloses a small vignette view of Hamburg surmounted by Mercury.
