Description:LUIGI PELLEGRINO (Italian 1905-1970). Teatrino Di Pulcinella Al Pincio (Pulcinella's Puppet Theatre at the Pincio), 1958, 16" x 19-3/4" oil on canvasboard (framed size: 22-1/4" x 26-1/4") signed/dated lower right: Pellegrino 58.The back is also inscribed: Luigi Pellegrino, Roma - 3 Piazza Gentile da Fabriano and with the title on the back: "Teatrino di Pulcinella al Pincio) (oil) 1958. It also has the name and address of a prior owner, Matthew Berman, 11500 Thurston Circle, Los Angeles, California. USA. It has a stamps bottom right on the back. The label on the back has the artist's name spelled wrong as Pellerino. The artist is Luigi Pellegrino. Condition: There is a white mark in the upper right tree that appears to be paint, painting may have a few tiny flecks, frame liner has some browning or discoloration, a few frame nicks and very slight frame separation at upper left corner
Luigi Pellegrino was an artist and sculptor that was Italian and lived in Rome, Italy. One of his nude paintings sold at Christies for $2000.00.
