10kt Gold Pear Rubellite, Clear Topaz Ring, Abstract/Modern/Statement, size 6.75. Weight is 5.60 grams. This ring is a bold and dynamic abstract and modern designed ring from the later 1900's. It is signed CI. It has an angled offset band that is wide at 6.3mm and tapers down to about 3.3mm at the band. It has ridges in the ad at the top of the shoulders to the top of the ring - the stone is a huge pear shaped red rubellite that under light you can see an orange hue as well. There are some gas bubbles inside the stone as well as some other deposits that you see under magnification but not looking at the stone - it looks clear and clean without magnification. The pear shaped stone is approximated 15mm long by 9mm wide at the mid point and appx. 3mm deep. I cannot get an exact measurement due to the setting. There are seven clear topaz accents that are channel set on a lower accent from the main stone. They are about 2mm across and total weight would be about .25 ctw. This ring is signed 10kt and CI on the inside of the band. It is a statement ring - bold and dynamic. It has the look of a garnet but tests as tourmaline and with the shading of the stone in light it is very appealing. It has angles and curves and raised and lower designs making this a very dynamic ring. This ring is an absolute beauty.
