Published in 1991 by the French publisher Nouvelles Images and printed at the renowned Mourlot atelier in Paris, Matisse's longtime printer, this edition was produced with exceptional fidelity to the original composition. Authorized by Les Heritiers Matisse, the work reflects the artist's enduring interest in ornament, rhythm, and narrative inspired by The Thousand and One Nights, and stands as a refined representation of Matisse's late artistic legacy.
