Description
Classic heart form. Over 3/4" width (0.79"). Raised borders with an S scroll to the sides, and cusped top supporting a sprigged base trefoil, a favorite Viking theme. That feature evidently had spiritual significance, now lost. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, and integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored on an 18” gilt sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Very fine example of exceptional preservation.
