Just under 1 ¼” (1.21”)” width, made by the open face mold method. Broad cusped form with nubs at the quarter points and an incised rectangle above enter. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Particular deep relief modeling crisply preserved. Light surface texture from burial. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored on a modern Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear.
