A good example in its early form. Elongated form with natural rounded (uncusped) top. The quarter points nubbed describe a saltire. 1 1/4" height, made by the open-face mold technique. For Vikings, the heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, and integrity, all attributes of the warrior. It is said that Hrungnir, with whom Thor dueled (assisted by a sorceress), had a heart of stone. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored on a Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Charming.
