Description

Under ¾” height, silvered bronze. Shield shaped with a symmetrical curvilinear motif which appears to be based on the Roman sorcerer’s staff, the lituus. At the time, pagan beliefs were mixed with Christianity and many such references were in use. The pendant of a noble woman incorporating a motif from her family coat of arms which identified her both as of the noble class and by name. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored on a new Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
