Description

Over 3" length. Point forged with a very low medial ridge on each side and curved base. A specifically purposed flesh cutting point for raiding lightly protected or unarmed adversaries. Vikings raided Italian coastal towns in surprise attacks, killing those who resisted and capturing women and children who were taken across the Mediterranean to North Africa and sold into slavery or returned home with the raiders to serve as their slaves. Archaeologists have noted that every Viking farm would have had slave quarters.
