A gorgeous Edwardian necklace, crafted from platinum, featuring a sapphire and diamond pendant.
At the center hangs the deep blue sapphire, floating inside a circular openwork frame and surrounded by diamonds set along the circular pendant and accent the bail above. The pendant design combines symmetry and gentle curves, a hallmark of Edwardian jewelry.
The diamonds vary in size, with smaller stones set in the upper section and larger stones accenting the bottom, to give it a little weight and drama. The pendant hangs from a platinum chain with elongated links.
This platinum necklace highlights the Edwardian era’s appreciation for airy elegance, making it a distinctive antique jewel.
The antique necklace is made of platinum, an approximately 1.15-carat round faceted sapphire, Old European and single cut diamonds (H- color, VS2 clarity, approximately 0.50 carat total weight).
The pendant measures 1" x 7/8" (2.9 x 2 cm) without bail. The chain measures 17 ¾” x 1/16" (44 x 0.2 cm).
