Title: Oil painting A break from the city Oksana Kalenyuk Description: №AAA3880 This oil painting cardboard, titled "A break from the city", The painting evokes a sense of peace and solitude, inviting the viewer into a lush, green sanctuary where time slows down and nature takes over. In the foreground, a small red boat floats on a tranquil body of water, adding a striking contrast to the surrounding greenery. The boat’s vibrant color draws the viewer’s eye, making it the focal point of the scene. A lone figure sits inside, dressed in white with a red hat, adding a human presence that emphasizes the theme of solitude and relaxation. The placement of the figure suggests contemplation, a moment of stillness away from the distractions of city life. The middle ground is dominated by a dense forest of towering trees, painted in deep greens, warm ochres, and hints of blue and purple. The artist's expressive brushstrokes capture the organic movement of the leaves and branches, creating a rich, textured canopy that envelops the scene. The play of light and shadow within the foliage adds depth and dimension, making the trees feel alive and immersive. The background features a soft, glowing sky, painted in pale yellows, soft pinks, and muted blues. The delicate, swirling clouds contrast with the dense, textured foliage, adding a sense of openness and airiness to the scene. The subtle pastel tones of the sky suggest the warmth of late afternoon or early evening, reinforcing The painting’s peaceful and meditative atmosphere. The painting captures the simple joy of retreating into a natural setting, where the rustling of leaves, the gentle ripples of the water, and the stillness of the surroundings create a perfect escape from the fast-paced world. Through expressive textures, a rich color palette, and a thoughtful composition, the artist invites the viewer to experience the rejuvenating power of nature and the peacefulness of solitude on the water.
