Description
The pale green hardstone has minute piercings and was hand polished to a nice soft finish. The stone is well carved, has few inclusions and a nice translucence. We believe the hardstone is Xiu Yu /serpentine. While it resembles jade, it is not as heavy as jade would be.
The piece was likely intended as an ornament on fabric or a box because the back is not polished as nicely as the front.
