Description
Crafted from iron with gold highlights, this piece features an elegant Paulownia design.
It is signed by the craftsman Masafusa (??), who was active in the Musashi Province and belonged to the Bushu Ito Tradition.
Masafusa was a disciple of Masatsune, the second generation master of the Ito Tradition, making this a fine example of classic NIHONTO metalwork.
The tsuba is presented in a traditional paulownia box for storage.
