ABOUT THE ARTIST: Rudenko Volodymyr Mykhaylovich – was born on 22th of June, 1916 in Krolevets town, Sumy region. He studied at the Moscow Institute of Decorative and applied arts. Mentors: Bogorodsky F.S., Soloviev A.N., Rublev V. In 1949 he moved to Lviv, where he teaches at the Institute of Decorative and applied arts, and works as the main artist in the Lviv regional puppet theater. Participated in regional and republican exhibitions. Personal exhibitions took place in Lviv, Kyiv, Moscow, Budapest, and Warsaw. Volodymyr Mikhailovich created more than 130 portraits of actors of theaters and opera singers. Among them: are a portrait of Ivan Kozlovsky, Dmitry Hnatyuk, Anatoly Mokrenko, Natalia Uzhviy, and many others. Works are presented in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, and Hungary.
