ABOUT THE ARTIST: Maksimenko Mykola Antonovich – was born on 31th of December, 1924 in Yaropovichi village, Zhytomyr region. He studied at the art studio of Degtyarev B., Solovyov I. Mentor: Grabar I. Worked in the field of easel painting. Master of landscape and still life. Participant of city, republican, all-Union, and foreign art exhibitions. Spent 14 personal exhibitions. Since 1960 – a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Since 1994 – National Artist of Ukraine. The works of Mykola Antonovich are presented in more than 30 museums in Ukraine and abroad, in numerous galleries and private collections around the world. The artist died in 2016.
