ABOUT THE ARTIST: Bakaev Sergiy Ivanovych – was born on the 7th of April, 1922 in Semipalatinsk city, Russia. He studied at Simferopol Art College. Mentors: Bernadsky V., Kuznetsov T., Kroshitsky M. Since 1960 he participated in exhibitions. Since 1961 – Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1999 – Honored Artist of the Crimea. Main works: "At the Pier" (1955); "Evening in the Vineyards", (1959); "Vineyards" (1959); "The Last Rays" (1964); "Apple Blossoms" (1968); "The Sea" (1970); "The mountains do not sleep" (1972); "The Sea Border" (1977). The artist`s works are in the collections of the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the Kharkiv Art Museum, the Chernihiv Historical Museum, and the Simferopol Art Museum, in private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The artist died in 2010.
