ABOUT THE ARTIST: Voloshin Georgy Sergievich – was born on 5th May, 1925 in Yekaterinoslav city, now Dnipropetrovsk. He studied at the Dnepropetrovsk Art Pedagogical College (1948), at the Kyiv Art Institute (1956). Mentors: A. Vandalovsky, A. Zhiradkov, M. Pogrebnyak, M. Panin, G. Melikhov, T. Yablonskaya, K. Trohimenko, V. Kasiyan. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1965). He worked in the creative workshops of the Art Fund of the USSR. He taught at art studios in Kyiv and the House of Architects, the Palace of Pioneers, the House of Folk Art and the school of trade unions. Participated in regional (1944), republican (1957) exhibitions. Major works: "After the Battle" (1948), "After the Hunt" (1958), "The First Green" (1959), "Morning in the bus" (1969), "Sunny day" (1973), "Parental care" (1976), "M. Gorky" (1976), "After the harvest" (1979), "The Forgotten path" (1988), "Winter" (1990), "Flowering" (1991), "Rainbow" (1997), "Arbor. autumn" (1999), "Evening on the Dn?pro" (2000) and others. Paintings are stored in the Dnipropetrovsk Museum, the Kremenets Museum, theMykolaiv Art Museum, the Chernigiv Art Museum, the Museum of Partisan Glory, the Shushenska Art Gallery, the Dzhambul Art Museum (Kazakhstan).
