ABOUT THE ARTIST: Polyakov Olexiy Ivanovich – was born on the 27th of August, 1943 in Kalinovo village, Lugansk region. He studied at the Donetsk National Studio of fine arts. Mentors: Tolochko V. and Zakharov F. Authors of thematic paintings, landscapes, and still life. Worked as a decorator artist in Donetsk House of Culture. Since 1972 he has participated in exhibitions. Held 16 personal exhibitions. The first personal exhibition was held in 1974 in Donetsk city. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1985. Honored Artist of Ukraine since 1996. National Artist of Ukraine since 2009. Lives and works in Donetsk City. Works are presented in museums of Ukraine, and Russia, as well as in private collections in Canada, Poland, Holland, USA.
