ABOUT THE ARTIST: Budnikov ?lexandr Gavrilovich – was born on 12th of August, 1914 in Verkhny Baskunchak village, Astrakhan region. He studied at Stalingrad Art College and Kyiv Art Institute. Mentors: Lyubimov M., Samokish M., Trofimenko K. Worked in the easel painting industry. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1947. Since 1945 he participated in foreign, all-Union exhibitions. The first personal exhibition was held in Kyiv in 1975. Main works: "Front Sketches" (1941-1944), "Forcing the Dnieper" (1947), "Lenin in Paris" (1982), and others. Works are kept in the National Art Museum, Kharkiv Art Museum, Poltava Art Museum, and other museums in Ukraine. Lived and worked in Kyiv. The artist died on the 23rd of December, 1982.
