ABOUT THE ARTIST: Lapin Viktor Ivanovich – was born on the 14th of October, 1923 in the Zolotarivka village, Sumy region. He studied at the Kharkiv Art Institute. Mentors: G. Tomenko, P. Kotov. Since 1955 he has been taking part in republican, all-Union, and foreign exhibitions. Personal exhibitions were held: Mykolaiv city 1973, Kharkiv 1983, Kyiv 1985. Since 1964 – a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. He was a member of the board of the Kharkiv organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, chairman of the board of the Kharkiv Art Fund, a member of the board of the Republican Art Fund, chairman of the board of the Mykolaiv organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Major works: “K. Marx and F. Engels at the Work” (1955); “After the Flight” (1958); "Among Friends" (1963 - 1964); "Pilot-athlete V. Tursunhodzhaeva" (1965); "After the Assault" (1969) and others.
