Vintage hand blown studio art glass bowl, circa 1980s. Pastel baby blue glass is nearly opaque at the base and becomes more translucent moving up to the top. Purple edge at lip. Subtle swirls, bubbles, and a soft ethereality that is not captured in the photos. Measures 8 inches diameter x 3.75 inches tall. Slightly irregular form reflects the hand crafted nature of this one of a kind item. No signature or maker mark. Excellent condition. The bottom has a pontil mark (punt mark); this is the "scar" where the pontil was removed after forming. This tells us the bowl was formed by hand; it is not a defect or damage.
