Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso ruby red, bubbles and gold flecks Italian art glass decorative personal ashtray / bowl. Documented to designer to Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d' Arte. The piece is published in the company's book, model number 5739, and dated to 1939 (see photo). The design of the piece is referred to as "Rosso Pulegoso Oro Induto". Made with a technique of random small bubbles submerged inside layers of glass. The bowl is profusely filled with heavy gold leaf inside. Would make a great display piece on any desk or vanity. Art Deco, Mid-century era. The piece is being offered "As Is", with chips along the rim. Priced at half what i would usually list another like it. Measures: 2 3/4" across each side x 2 1/8" high.
