Minimal approach to interior decorating styles that work well with organic modern, minimalism and modern farmhouse spaces. This trestle table is a heavy weighted structure with extremely thick wood widths and proportions. Salvaged barn wood most likely oakwood that has been hand built and mitered from reclaimed boards. This old piece has survived decades of aged wood with all the nooks and dings that come with age, wormholes and wood knots and natural crevices that have been varnished over, still with additional preowned use and wear of worn finish of raw wood in the shellac. Signs of natural expansion cracks and darkened patina from ageless elements at play, this piece is truly a remarkable treasure find.
Of unknown origin and era, although has been said these are french floor boards that resemble those from the 19th century. Made by dowel, peg and rod joints, mortise and tenon joinery of timber wood. In preowned antique condition, used, second-hand with matured age and patina. Blonde oakwood, with blackened wood seams and dark golden knots and natural wood grain finish. Some signs of distress in the tabletop, bent wood plants that are uneven or cracked in several areas. The tabletop is heavy weight and unattached to the trestle base at the moment. Inquire within for more information and photos, all offers will be reviewed and considered. Insured shipping via Chairish nominated third party in-home delivery shipping services. In store pick up available.
