These fluid silver dangles were first produced in 1991 and remained in
production until 1998. This piece in particular is a return which came back to us some time in the mid 1990s and has remained in our archive since then. We recently reshaped and refinished this work back to its original glory and are now offering the opportunity to purchase this vintage pair 1990s of earrings in essentially new condition.. Gerhard Herbst Studio earrings are individually hand forged to create superior flex, strength, and temper in each piece. This pair weighs 12.5 grams.

Modernist designer, Gerhard Herbst translates sculptural form into the jewelry medium. Popularly known for his spatial shapes and fluid manipulations of metal, Herbst began producing his unique style of jewelry in 1975. Herbst continued to study both sculpture and jewelry design at San Diego State University, and upon graduating he established his jewelry studio in Ocean Beach California. Adopting a wholesale manufacturing business model, Herbst would reproduce designs which he would then sell to leading Museum shops and galleries throughout the United States. Although no edition numbers were set, total production was limited as each piece was individually and personally handcrafted by Gerhard Herbst.
