Rising 1971 Hard Edge Abstract oil on canvas by J.C. Gillespie, Signed and Framed

Towering at an impressive 9 feet tall (108" x 32" x 2"), you are going to need high ceilings for this one!! This painting feels timely in the most beautiful way. The sun rising to meet a rainbow of colorful interlocking keyholes - all ascending towards the sky and an Expressionist mountain peak. Seriously, I could go on and on but why over think it?

This impressive painting with it's soaring heights, skillful abstract hard edge, and joyful pop art rainbow colors, simply feels GOOD. It's fun & wildly optimistic. The artist has captured an almost child-like exuberance with this piece.

This painting came to me through the son of the original collector. Purchased from a San Francisco gallery in the early 1970s. It's a large, linear size but can also be hung horizontally.
