Beautiful Vintage 1967 Wedgwood Jasperware Sage Green and Cream heart shaped trinket/jewelry box with lid.

This box is created in the iconic neo-classical style that Jasperware is known for, primarily in the famous sage green with cream/white relief decorations. This precious box was made in 1967 (per the markings on the bottom) and has authentic Wedgwood markings on the bottom (see picture). This delicate box features a classical relief scene on the top which is accented by a floral garland border and flowers and stars around the sides. These cameo-like adornments are made by molding the contrasting porcelain into the neo-classical designs then applying it to the ware as sprigs "“ a concept that jasperware is famous for. In addition, the box features the distinctive matte "biscuit" finish that is characteristic of jasperware.

The box is a dainty size, perfect to hold trinkets, jewelry, loose change, baubles, rings, etc! Place next to your bed for nighttime keeping of your everyday jewels, or on a side table holding coasters or matches! This box is a perfect size for a myriad of uses!

Condition Notes: CONDITION NOTES: This trinket box is in great condition! There is a small chip on the inside rim of the lid, but it is not at all visible when the lid is closed (and hardly noticeable when the lid is off! See pictures). It appears also as though a small portion of the white relief porcelain has either chipped off the very bottom tip of the garland on the heart; unknown if this is a sign or wear or if this happened in original manufacturing.
