Description

Two similar pottery curved plaques, fashioned from a large pot shard, and having a four quadrant mineral painted design in yellow and red-brown. One example has large areas on mineral deposits on the painted decoration. Both have some general wear to the painted design, otherwise intact examples. 8-1/2"W. & 7-1/4"W.

Provenance: Ex. private West Virginia collection, acquired late 1960's to early 1970's. To present owner by descent.
