Juan Marichal (1937–2017) was one of the most dominant pitchers of the 1960s and a cornerstone of the San Francisco Giants. Known for his distinctive, high-kicking windup and exceptional control, Marichal recorded over 240 career wins and led the National League in victories twice. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983, becoming the first Dominican-born player inducted, and remains one of the most influential pitchers in baseball history.
