Marjorie Main autographed typed letter on her personalized letterhead from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Culver City, California, addressed to an admirer and thanking them for their interest in her work. In the letter, Main references her then-current role in “A Woman’s Face” starring Joan Crawford and notes having just completed “The Trial of Mary Dugan” alongside Robert Young and Laraine Day, offering a warm and personable glimpse into her active film career during Hollywood’s Golden Age. Signed neatly at the conclusion in blue ink.

Marjorie Main (1890–1975) was a prolific American character actress best remembered for her iconic portrayal of Ma Kettle in the long-running Ma and Pa Kettle film series, as well as numerous supporting roles in major MGM productions throughout the 1930s–1950s.
