John Bubbles autographed 5 x 3” off-white card, signed in blue ink with the inscription “Best Wishes.” A graceful and stylish signature from the groundbreaking tap dancer and vaudeville performer.

Fine condition.

John Bubbles (1902–1986) was a trailblazing figure in American dance and music, widely credited as the father of rhythm tap. As half of the famous duo “Buck and Bubbles,” he broke racial barriers on stage and screen, becoming the first Black performer to appear on television. He also starred as Sportin’ Life in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess and influenced generations of dancers, including Fred Astaire and Sammy Davis Jr. This is a wonderful signed piece from a pivotal cultural icon.
